Legend has it that in the early days of the Leatherman multi-tool, when Tim was trying to pitch his revolutionary invention, the status quo told him he was crazy. "No one's gunna want to carry around that heavy piece of steel". The concept that you could pack seventeen tools, including a full set of functional pliers, into one small package was something so far fetched, Tim was forced to go it alone.
As it turned out, the do-it-yourself, prepare for anything spirit was much more potent than the big names ever expected. As it turned out, men and women all over the world were looking for looking for more than the big names could offer. They wanted flexibility, versatility, and quality.
Thirty years later, the dream has come true and millions of people in nearly every country in the world carry Leatherman brand tools.
Our small group at TxToolMods wants to take you somewhere unique. Somewhere off the assembly line, where form meets functionality. Our fundamental goal is to build on functionality by adding art, luxury, and a personal touch. We source all of our materials from US producers and keep all of our production local. Give us a call or stop by the shop - you'll be able to talk to someone that knows what they're talking about.
